Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5

We will explore a beautiful location once a week and locate it on a virtual globe.  We will learn the location, the landforms/landmarks, the climate, culture, foods, and what the flag looks like.  There will be several photograph slides that show what the beautiful place looks like and students can decide if they think the place is beautiful and why/why not. There will be a time for discussion on the photos we see and what they observe in the photos.  There will be some short video clips...

Exploring various beautiful places around the world.
Learning about culture, landforms, landscapes, foods, celebrations, music, and location on a world map.
Discuss and share opinions on each location.
Students will be asked several review questions at the end of each class to see what they have learned.

I am a state-certified middle school social studies teacher who loves to travel and has a passion for exploring beautiful places around the world.
