Welcome to Geography Class - Let's Travel The World During Summer

Program Description:
-Learning about geography not only is interesting and fun but also essential in many ways and it would never be too early to start such an important journey. 

-The study of geography allows us to understand appreciate the differences in people and traditions. It's a great way to let them realize that we are all different and that people from different countries have inherently unique histories, families, and ways of living.
 
-Learning about other countries also helps to stimulate the mind, promote understanding, ability to reassess biases and enhance cultural sensitivity.

-Finally, as the world is connected through the use of technology, it is important to learn about countries and traditions to create a higher awareness for professional development.

Lesson Structure:
-Each week we will spend 45 minutes together learning about a new country. We will learn about the country's location on the world map, cities, currency, food, main attractions, flag, languages and more. 
-In each class, there will be a slideshow presentation, pictures, videos, and questions to help guide our travelling. 
-After the presentation, Students will have discussions and answer the two questions: 
"Would you travel to that country? 
 "Would you like to live in the country?"
-At the end of each class, students will participate in a Quiz to test the knowledge they learned about the country of the day.

Week of July 11th: France and England
Week of July 18th: Australia and New Zealand
Week of July 25th: China & Japan
Week of August 1st: Mexico and Spain
Week of August 8th: Germany and Austria
Week of August 15th: India and Sri Lanka
Week of August 22nd: Russia and Italy
Week of August 29th: Brazil and the Caribbean 

Program Policies:
-Learners meet once a week.
-This is a subscription-based class, so you will be charged every Sunday to save your seat for the following week.
