What will be taught: Students learn to locate North America on a world map or globe. Students learn to locate the continental United States on a map of North America, and identify the Atlantic Ocean and Pacific Ocean. Students learn to locate Alaska and Hawaii on a world map or globe. Student learn to name and locate students’ country, state, and town or city on a map of the United States. Understand the meaning of the following domain-specific vocabulary: geography, harbors, and peninsula. How will I teach the lesson: Doc cam, slides, there be some reading about different maps, images of maps, harbors and oceans and countries. There is no required experience or previous knowledge required.
Learning Goals
Students will are going to learn about some amazing places in North America, starting with the United States. Students learn about kinds of natural landscapes. Vocabulary: geography, harbors, peninsula. Locate places on a map.

Parental Guidance
Parental guidance is helpful in case of technical difficulty or help for logging on to the zoom. Students do not need any expensive toys, furnishings or other items. They do need well designed space that is safe for the student to do activities/projects. Parental guidance is necessary incase student needs help with an activity with guidance. Such as gluing, cutting with scissors etc. There are no third party websites that will be used for each week for the lessons or signing in for accounts.
