What will be taught: Students learn Identify Canada, Mexico, and the countries known as Central America on a map, and associate them with the United States, as countries located in North America. Students will know at least two facts about each about Canada, Mexico, and Central America Students will understand the meaning of the following vocabulary: bay, Canadian Arctic, rainforests, plateau, volcanoes, ancestors, and culture. Students will be provided with worksheets of maps to help students locate North American continent. Mexico’s northern neighbor is the United States. How will the lesson be taught: Slides, doc cam, and student engagement. No previous knowledge is needed but is helpful.

Parental Guidance
Parental guidance is helpful in case of technical difficulty or help for logging on to the zoom. Students do not need any expensive toys, furnishings or other items. They do need well designed space that is safe for the student to do activities/projects. Parental guidance is necessary incase student needs help with an activity with guidance. Such as gluing, cutting with scissors etc. There are no third party websites that will be used for each week for the lessons or signing in for accounts.
