We will examine the shapes and locations of the states in the U.S.A. and then play a non-competitive group quiz game to test ourselves.

Description
Class Experience
The students will improve their mastery of state names, locations, and shapes. They will do this by seeing the shapes, talking about the names and seeing the locations on the map. Playing the game will improve retention.
There will be worksheets available to print. These should be printed ahead of time to refer to during class.
The student should have the worksheets printed and available.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Assessment is informal. Progress will be demonstrated through participation in class.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
The parents can help the student prepare by printing the worksheets and discussing them before class.
We will use the websites Seterra.com and Wordwall.net. We may also use Googlemaps for more detailed reference.
