What will be taught:
Students learn about cool facts about rivers. 
Students will learn about the Nile and Yellow Rivers 
Students learn to use an atlas and identify the river or rivers in a state, or direct the student to identify a city or town that is located on the banks of the river.
Students learn the differences between a river and a lake.
Students learn some vocabulary words such as river, riverbanks, sources, irrigation, silt, and flow.
Students will describe two ways that rivers bring life to farms and cities.
Student learn to use the maps in the atlas to find geographic information.
How will the lesson be taught:
doc cam, discussion, engagement with the students. 
Students will be engaged in doing some maps with activities when learning about the rivers. 
Some knowledge of world maps and locating rivers or lakes, Know the continents is helpful.

Students will improve their understanding about rivers and why they are important.

Parental Guidance
Parental guidance is helpful in case of technical difficulty or help for logging on to the zoom. Students do not need any expensive toys, furnishings or other items. They do need well designed space that is safe for the student to do activities/projects. Parental guidance is necessary incase student needs help with an activity with guidance. Such as gluing, cutting with scissors etc. There are no third party websites that will be used for each week for the lessons or signing in for accounts.
