Wonderful weather all around! Join me to learn about different types of wonderful weather around the world, learners will discover hot and cold areas of the world and the impact of different weather types. Learners will observe and record weather, relate weather types to seasons , become a weather forecaster and make valuable links with science, geography, math and English. .This in a fun interactive class for young learners! I'm a qualified primary school teacher will over 10 years experience. Within that time I led many subjects in school including history, geography and science.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will discuss some extreme weather effects such as flooding and wildfires- This is age appropriate and is aimed and adapted to young learners. However, some learners may find the effects upsetting, therefore please ensure this is a suitable class for your learner - Thank you! Nearpod will be used each week as a way of accessing videos and and interactive class tasks. Learners don't need to set up an account for this.
Learners will look at weather forecasts from https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather through screen shares in pre recorded videos. Nearpod will be used each week as a way of accessing videos and and interactive class tasks. Learners don't need to set up an account for this.
