US Grade 3 - 6
Do you love learning about all the interesting and unique things around this world? In this one-time class, we will discover some of the most amazing places on Earth. Every time we travel to a new place, we will look at the world map to understand where they are located. We will talk about salt deserts, glow worm caves, pink lakes, and so much more. I keep the class size small so that every learner has a chance to speak. Learners are encouraged to make connections, ask questions, and share information. I will be using a slideshow to show pictures and videos of the places that we visit. Learners will be provided with a handout (optional) that they can use during class if they want to colour and/or take notes about the fun facts we discuss. No prior knowledge is needed in order to take this class.

I have backpacked through many countries around the world. This has given me the chance to really learn about and appreciate each one of them. I research every country heavily before teaching the class. I also use my contacts from around the world as references. I am a certified elementary school teacher and have taught social studies every year.
