Students will demonstrate mastery of up to 28 concepts related to locations, trade and society  in and near South Asia by practicing for meaning, reviewing, completing a Kahoot game quiz and then reviewing errors.  These concepts are embedded in middle school geography learning standards.

Teacher qualifications:  I am certified as a Social Studies Teacher in my state, and have taught Social Studies (including World Geography) for over 18 years.  My classes have had lots of fun and engagement with Kahoot Challenges and other techniques for bringing fun to the classroom while building student skills.  Highlights of Education:  B.A. History, Master's Degree Public Policy, 30 credits beyond Master's including Education, Geography, History and English Language Arts. Homework Offered
Optional. Students are encouraged to review the provided handouts before class.   Student can also practice location with the online interactive game cited on the handout.  These activities will improve the depth of their learning and also give them a competitive edge in the Kahoot challenge.

Assessments Offered
The Kahoot game quiz results will show student mastery of geography concepts and  terms.  Follow up discussion from the final class review at the end of class will supplement those results. The completed blank handout of terms and ideas, plus a completed black line master map can serve as artifacts for student portfolio.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses Kahoot.
