Let’s challenge ourselves to a Geography Bee on The Middle East! This class is part of a series designed to have fun while reviewing human geography facts. This class can serve to introduce students to a new region of the world, or as a review. This geo bee (#4) focuses on places and things in and near the many splendored Middle East. Class will begin with a review of 29 terms such as: country names, locations, cultural features, brief descriptors of economics, geographic features. To help...
Students will demonstrate mastery of up to 29 concepts related to places and things in and near The Middle East by practicing for meaning, reviewing, completing a Kahoot game quiz and then reviewing errors. These concepts are embedded in middle school geography learning standards.
Teacher qualifications: I am certified as a Social Studies Teacher in my state, and have taught Social Studies (including World Geography) for over 18 years. My classes have had lots of fun and engagement with Kahoot Challenges.
Homework Offered
Optional. Students are encouraged to review the provided handouts before class. This will improve the depth of their learning and also give them a competitive edge in the Kahoot challenge.Assessments Offered
The Kahoot game quiz results will show student mastery of geography concepts and terms. Follow up discussion from final class review at the end of class will supplement those resultsGrades Offered
