For this class, I will be teaching information on each state in the United States. This will include: location of the state, trivia questions and what the state is best known for, i.e. food, agriculture, famous people from that state. Structure: Each class we will introduce the states we are going to look at for that class. There will be 5 states a class. Then we will have a trivia question, and view the powerpoint for each state for that class. Then we will look at a short film about one...
Students will improve their knowledge of the states, their location, and their resources.
No homework is required, but there will be enrichment activities offered if the student would like to work on their own.
A hand out will be provided before the first class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Informal assessment, based on listening skills and participation during question and answer. Listening skills are most important.
1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
