Class Experience

Let's play Genshin Impact together! In this gaming club we meet weekly to play in co-op, discuss builds, strategize teams, share our "gacha wins" (aka: banner wishes), and anything else you like! I'm a Genshin player and DIY cosplayer; I cosplayed Amber and Collei at recent Comic Cons and enjoy building my solid DPS team and participating in events. I love helping others reach their game goals!

This popular game is free to download and is a lot of fun for video game enthusiasts who love open-world action role-playing games. It is similar to Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, only there is no upfront cost. You can download Genshin Impact on a mobile device (such as a phone or tablet), or on a PC with sufficient memory and internet connection. There are in-game purchases available, which we will go over in class as needed.

For this class you can join at any level, from beginner to advanced. However, if you'd like to participate in co-op play you will need to have reached at least level 16 in the game, which is where co-op play is unlocked. You must also be on the American server in order for me to join you in gameplay. There are some quests that will temporarily lock co-op play (such as the Tianqui Valley puzzle quest), so make sure your co-op hasn't been disabled. You will also need to share your UID (player ID), which will require us to go over some safety and game etiquette rules in class; for example, don't take flowers from another player's world unless you have permission!

Keep in mind that learners can only join another player's world if the other player is at an equal or lower World Level than their own. There may be times where only some of the players may be able to enter co-op together; for example, someone is hoping to defeat a specific "boss" and the rest of the class wants to help, but your account is a lower level. In that case you might use that time to work on a quest and some of the other lower-level players can split up and join your world instead. Let's work together and take turns to make sure everyone has a good time and gets the help they need!

I look forward to playing with you!

Parental Guidance
Genshin Impact is rated PEGI 12 because it features depictions of non-realistic looking violence towards human-like characters (similar to Breath of the Wild or Smash Bros). There are some in-game purchases available, so you might want to adjust your payment settings to an option that requires authentication in order to avoid accidental purchases. There are no ads but learners might be tempted to purchase items spontaneously, so be sure to monitor your child's purchases. In co-op play there are few situations where conflicts can arise, but I will monitor all interactions and go over class rules and expectations at the beginning of every class. I require learners to speak kindly to one another and avoid inappropriate language.
Supply List
Download Genshin Impact on a PC or mobile device:
