Class Experience

Who loves to play Genshin Impact? If you do, then you have come to the right place for the perfect social and co-op gaming experience with peers. Genshin Impact takes place in the fantasy world of Teyvat, which is home to seven distinct nations, each of which is tied to a different element and ruled by a different god. The story follows the Traveler, who has traveled across countless worlds with their twin sibling before becoming separated in Teyvat. The Traveler travels in search of the lost sibling with their companion Paimon and becomes involved in the affairs of Teyvat's nations.

Each week we will explore the fantasy world and help guide our peers to help them gain their levels in the game. We will be utilizing the North American Server during this class section. Learners can utilize the Zoom chat, verbal chat, or the game chat to help with communication to assist with the quests.
*If schedules aren’t conflicting, guest Outschool teachers will join us for the class! This will allow learners to get the assistance of another teacher in the co-op experience.

Requirements:
Learners will need the Genshin Impact game already downloaded on any device that supports cross play (PS4, iOS, Android, PC) to be able play with other learners.
The game is required for the co-op gaming experience. If learners are not at Adventure Rank 16, they can join in with the conversation but won't be able to co-op.
In order for the co-op gaming experience, learners are required to temporarily share their "friend" UID code to join each other's worlds. Parent's must send their learner's UID in an Outschool parent direct message.

Weekly Schedule:
Each week we will create teams to play in the co-op gaming experience.
Each class will be learner-led by their interests that are related to the game.
Each week we will select a learner to help them in their world against the bosses and quests in the game.
Learners will be placed in groups of 2 to 4 depending on how many learners join.
Weekly updates and events will create different class topics.
The class is flexible, and learners can join and leave as their schedule allows.

Weekly class structure:
-Introductions
-Discuss any new updates
-Join the co-op experience
-Current individual quests
-Game strategy discussion
-Share any collections or creations Genshin Impact related
-End class with farewells

Parental Guidance
Learners need to have an active account for the game and be at Adventure Rank 16 to be able to provide the UID to join the co-op for class. Parent's must provide the UID from parent direct messages to the teacher to ensure that parents are providing permission to participate with their UID. Learners should not post their UIDs in the classroom or from their learner profiles. It is important to have permission from parents for our learners' safety. The game is recommended to be on a separate device from their zoom device to provide a better gaming and class experience. The game is rated Teen. This is a role-playing game in which players assume the role of a character searching for a lost sibling in a fantasy world. From a third-person perspective, players explore an open-world environment, interact with characters, complete missions, and battle fantastical creatures (e.g., rock golems, slime creatures, goblins, insects). Players use swords and ranged attacks to fight enemies in frenetic melee-style combat. Combat is highlighted by frequent impact sounds, light effects, and explosions. In some scenes, characters discuss alcoholic beverages.
Supply List
Learners will need the Genshin Impact game already downloaded on any device that supports cross play (PS4, iOS, Android, PC) to be able play with other learners.
