This course will discuss the basics of genetics including Gregor Mendel's complete dominance genetic inheritance pattern, the difference between dominant and recessive traits and practice how to use Punnet squares.

Description
Class Experience
Students will be able to identify where genetic information is stored in the body. Students will be able to describe Gregor Mendel's experiment and how they impacted science we know today. Students will be able to describe the different allele combinations as homozygous dominant or recessive, or heterozygous. Students will be able to use a Punnett square to determine the possible traits of offspring based on probability.
No homework necessary.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Learner will receive verbal feedback throughout the lesson on how they are progressing and how they can improve their skills.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
