Description
Class Experience
This class does cover sensitive topics such as racism. This summer I did training in cultural awareness as well as antiracism training. I also currently teach full time in a marginalized community. I have seen first hand the impact it has had in the lives of my students and strive to create a safe learning environment for all.
Reading and enrichment projects related to the weeks reading
Genesis Begins Again by Alicia D. Williams
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
This book will touch on some more sensitive topics. One of the main topics will be racism as well as dealing with addiction of a family member. This book does touch on colorist ideologies as well.
