In this 8 week class, we will be learning the following: how to make our own castanets, basic beats/rhythms, the treble clef, the bass clef, intervals, time signatures, and lastly, solfege syllables and song writing!
Class experience
In this 8 week class, we will continue learning the fundamental basics of music. These topics will set your student up to pursue whatever musical goals they have, whether it be taking on a new instrument or joining the school choir. It is highly recommended to take General Music 1 beforehand as we will build off of what we learned there. I started my musical journey at the age of 7 when I first began piano lessons. Ever since then, my love and desire to learn music has continued to grow! I studied music in college and have been teaching private piano/voice lessons for the past 5 years. I have also worked in the music department of churches for the past 7 years. It is my greatest passion to help others learn of their musical potentials and gain the confidence to pursue them!

Students may need help in our first lesson as we will be using glue to make our own castanets (clackers).
