Class Experience

In this 5 week class, we will be exploring the basics of music: 
Week 1: Dynamics - How loud or soft music is, AKA the volume. We will learn the Italian terminology and symbols. We will also be making our very own shakers and using them to practice playing them.
 Week 2: Tempo - We will learn the technical terms for different speeds, practice identifying them, and then play our DIY shakers along to the varying tempos. 
Week 3: Pitch & Staccato vs. Legato - We Will practice identifying higher...

This class is taught in English.

I started my musical journey at the age of 7 when I first began piano lessons. Ever since then, my love and desire to learn music has continued to grow! I studied music in college and have been teaching private piano/voice lessons for the past 5 years. I have also worked in the music department of churches for the past 7 years. It is my greatest passion to help others learn of their musical potentials and gain the confidence to pursue them!

-Shaker Materials: plastic or paper cup or water bottle; beans, cereal, beads, etc.; tape; and foil/cling wrap to cover the tops.
-Access to printer (paper, ink, etc.) 
-Colored Pencils/Markers/Crayons

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
