These tutoring sessions are available to support students enrolled in general or honors high school biology. Biology classes cover a diverse array of topics, and learners may need some assistance to thoroughly understand the concepts or to organize all of the information. Students should come to each session prepared with the questions they would like to cover. I will discuss the content with them, refer to outside resources such as a short YouTube clip to illustrate concepts as needed, and work through problems with them step-by-step if needed. Topics can include, but are not limited to: 🔬Chemistry of Life (Biological Macromolecules, Bonds, Elements of Life) 🔬Cells (Eukaryotic vs. Prokaryotic; Plant vs. Animal) 🔬Cellular Energetics (Photosynthesis, Cellular Respiration, Metabolism) 🔬Cell Cycles (Mitosis and Meiosis) 🔬Heredity 🔬Gene Expression and Regulation 🔬Natural Selection and Evolution 🔬Ecology 🔬Biomes 🔬Body Systems Availability: 🧬Regular availability Mondays-Thursdays 12:45-5:45pm Pacific time zone, September-June 🧬Occasional weekend availability may be posted September-June 🧬Limited summer hours by request only ⚠️Please be aware of the Outschool refund policy: 🎓 Full refunds are given within 24 hours of payment, or if sessions are cancelled at least 48 hours ahead of their start time 🎓Cancelling a session beyond the 24 hour payment window and with less than 48 hours before the session start time will forfeit the refund You can learn more about these policies here: https://support.outschool.com/en/articles/8042932-1-on-1-classes-for-parents
