Welcome to Digging for Diamonds! While we aren't going to literally dig for diamonds, we are going to cover: - where diamonds are mined around the world - what makes diamonds special and rare - where diamonds are used (not just jewelry) - historical information on some of the most famous diamonds - technical information about diamonds (cut, color, clarity, carat) - what can be found inside diamonds Since this is a one-time class, we will have a lot of information to cover! Students will understand the location diamonds are mined, where diamonds are used, what makes diamonds unique to other gemstones, and what can be found inside diamonds.
I would highly recommend a notebook or paper and a writing device for notes.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
