Are you taking AP English Literature or AP English Language soon? This class will prepare you for the skills you will need to be successful for both of these courses, as well as the exams in May. In this class we will learn both reading and writing strategies to ensure you have the skills necessary for AP ( Advanced Placement ) level English. In class, we will practice skills such as annotation, close reading, and finding evidence to prepare you for the tasks you will need to carry out in your class. We will also work on writing skills such as constructing an essay, how to use evidence, and making your essay sophisticated to prepare for AP exams and assessments. Prepare for your test with an AP authorized teacher and experienced grader for the College Board! I have been teaching with AP authorization and grading for the College Board for 17 years. I can help you understand what graders are looking for in your test answers, as well as all the details of how the test is constructed to help you reach your highest score! If you are taking AP English Literature, I recommend following this course with my Literary Analysis course. If you are taking AP English Language, I recommend following this course with my Art of Argument course on Rhetorical Analysis.

From a former student: "I just wanted to thank you for your help and for accommodating my son's schedule so last minute. Your help and tutoring was truly invaluable. He went from a student who questioned his writing to someone who regain the love and confidence in writing. In turn, he scored a 5/5 on the AP lang test. Again, thank you!"
