Description
Class Experience
First, students will be introduced to one of Spain's most influential artists of the 19th Century: Antoni Gaudi. Students will be given a brief biography of Gaudi's life, followed by an introduction to some of Gaudi's most famous works. Students will take a virtual art tour of the city of Barcelona as they explore some of Gaudi's most famous instillations, including Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo, and, my personal favourite, Park Guell. I have over 12 years of teaching experience in all core subjects from K-6. I have taught art and social studies (history) for K-6 for 12 years, which makes me qualified to teach this course. Also, my minor in university was Spanish. I have completed courses in Spanish on both the history of Spain and South America, which is where I was first introduced to Gaudi. I have also completed university-level courses in teaching elementary art. My training and experience combined will ensure that this course is taught with expertise.
