Class Experience
I have degree in Sustainable Agriculture and Ecology from Hampshire College, I grew up gardening with my dad, and I have traveled the world studying plants and agriculture techniques. I am currently the garden manager at Wild Heart Center in Wallkill NY. I identify as a naturalist, someone who studies and observes nature, and I am very passionate about being a steward of the land, implementing innovative techniques to restore the health of the soil, the health of our food, and the health of the surrounding ecosystems. There is a lot of evidence that suggests that we could address climate change, endangered species, chronic illnesses, water quality issues, and so much more by changing the way we grow food and relate to nature. I bring my passion for regenerative agriculture along with a lot of experience to guide your learner in their gardening passions. I am offering this class as a 1 to 1 format so that I can address the individual needs of your learner, your garden, your climate, and your vision. There are so many variables in gardening, so it is best to teach to the individual needs and circumstances of one learner rather than a whole class. There are a million ways to garden and no way is the right. I will help you troubleshoot pests and disease, find plants that are suitable to your environment and help you realize your gardening vision.
