Beginner Level
In this class, we will look at the history of gardens in the Middle Ages (476 CE - 1400 CE). Students will learn about what was grown and how the different plants were used in cooking and home products. During the last portion of the class, Students will begin to plan their own Medieval gardens. We will map our the designs and discuss what we would like to plant.

Students will be learning about how some plants were used in medicine.
Supply List
Paper and art supplies for sketching and planning our gardens.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Master's Degree in History from University of Nebraska at Kearney
I have a Master of Arts in Early European History with a speciality focus in historic uses of plants and medical history. I have been teaching online classes on these topics for five years; and hosting live demonstrations for two years.
