Does your learner want to play and interact with your dog, but they just don't know what to do? Is your learner looking for new games to play with their dog? Recently, I was featured in Parents Magazine, March 2022 edition, as an Online Educator/Dog Trainer for children. In the article I help parents recognize different ways to incorporate their children in the daily pet care and training aspect of owning a dog. Dogs can be one of the best playmates in a student's life. I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. I love working with and teaching kids how to create a special bond with their dog. In this one-time class, learners will be introduced to 4-5 new games that they can play with their dog. Each game requires minimal supplies and minimal time to set up. The learners will have the opportunity to practice playing most of the games with their dog during the live class. If your learner wants to participate in the games taught in the live class, then they will need to have the supplies prepared and ready for each game. If your learner chooses not to participate in the live games during the class then they are welcome to listen and take notes, then practice the games with their dog after class (but please still bring dog treats and their dog to class.) The supplies needed for the games are: -I recommend between 3-6 tennis balls, but at least 3. - An old 6 or 12 holed muffin tin (you can sometimes find a cheap one at the Dollar Tree) -3 Plastic cups (red solo cups work best) -3 or more dog toys -Dog treats I will introduce each game to the learners, and walk them through how to play the game using my dog as a demo. Then the learners will have a few minutes to practice each game with their own dogs. If there is time at the end of class, the learner can show off how well their dog does at one of the games we played in class.
Learning Goals
Learners will understand new ways to play with their dogs.
