This class is taught in English.

• To inspire each Minecraft architect, and expand their building creativity.
• To help architects bump their skill level up through the aid of the students in the class.
• To help architects work with a build deadline, as they also pay attention to detail.
• To give Monopoly enthusiasts a chance to unite and share their game love with the class.
• To give students an understanding of how involved a game board design can be.

The FLEX class learning goal:
• To give students an opportunity to navigate the Outschool classroom forum efficiently.

Oh boy, do I ever LOVE tabletop games!  Monopoly will always hold a special place in my heart.  Some days I like it, other days I don't.  BUT, it's the one game that everyone knows...or should know.  My family's Monopoly game collection keeps growing.  I'm not sure why you need more than one, but for some reason you do!  It's so cool to know my class give kids a chance to design one in Minecraft!  After class I hope to find out students are using their game board and playing with their friends.  

I'm a mom, gameschooler, and learner FOR LIFE!  Minecraft helps make this so much more fun!

Being a gameschooling family, Minecraft has been a part of our homeschool days since the purchase of our first copy...for the XBOX 360.  Since then we've expanded the collection, and can be found playing on numerous platforms!  It's taken on many roles through the years, in our home, and it's been really fun to come up with creative ways to add in another Minecraft project here and there.  I love that it offers so many different ways to explore, and so many different ways to be creative.  It really does let kids do what they want in a world all for them.  Allowing their imagination to run wild, one block at a time!!  I have enjoyed teaching my "Minecraft Builders Challenge Club" this summer on Outschool and wanted to come up with a way to make it available to more students.  With the ongoing club students come up with the ideas for each challenge, but with these FLEX classes I get to come up with them!  I have really enjoyed that!  Theme builds and book builds have to be 2 of my most favorite things to do in Minecraft.  I'm a creative, peaceful mode girl!   

I can't wait to see how these game boards turn out!  I am really excited to see how each week of class will inspire every single architect that enrolls.  My intention for this class is to spark interest in themes students might not have thought of on their own.  It will also give everyone a chance to see the different design choices that can be dreamed up on this versatile gaming platform.  This class is designed for students with Minecraft knowledge.  There will be no lessons on how to use Minecraft.  This class is all about designing a game board that meet each week's challenge requirements.  How each student interprets the challenge is up to them.
