Games at the Table - Let's Play Multiplication | A Two-Day "Training" Class

This course consists of 2 live session classes.  We will meet twice in 1 week.  This class is designed to introduce students to the game.  If students enjoy this "training" session they are welcome to join the club!  After completion of this class make sure to check out the club - "Games at the Table - Let's Play Multiplication | A Club for Mastery".  (The next club starts on January 26, 2021. Qwixx Multiplication gives students a chance to work on sharpening their multiplication memorization.  If played often, it's a great game to help give kids math confidence!  For this "training" session we will work on the twos times tables.  This will allow students a chance to focus more on the game mechanics.  As we play through Qwixx Multiplication, students will be able to practice their times tables in a strategically competitive game mode.  Students that join the class will need to enjoy long, turn-based strategy games.  They will also need to enjoy learning new games, as this game does take several plays to understand.  Depending on the needs of the class, games played during these training sessions may not make it through an entire game.  This class focuses on helping each student learn and understand gameplay. 

There is a 12 page, full color, PDF file EACH student will need to print up and bring to class.  (Because this is a training session, students will only need to print the first 2 pages of the PDF.)  This will be the ONLY way kids will be able to participate in gameplay.  Please read through the information in the supply list section for more details.  

Multiplication takes time AND practice, Qwixx Multiplication helps students work on these skills in a more engaging atmosphere.  Because players will be focused on the strategy behind the game, they won't even realize they are working on "math".  And, yes!  There is A LOT that goes down on each turn.
