In this one time class students will have fun playing a game on Bamboozle to help build their addition and subtraction fluency. At the beginning of class I will give a 5 minute lesson on strategies to use to help solve addition or subtraction facts they you don't know. Next, I will share my screen and we will began our game oon Bamboozle (students do not need to log in). Students who need help solving the problems will get reminders of strategies to help them solve it. I encourage students to come with some type of math counters such as: coins, beans, buttons, blocks etc. Bamboozle game rules: Each student will choose a number to flip over, behind the number will be an addition or subtraction problem for the student to solve. If the student gets the problem correct, they get a point. If they get it incorrect they do not get a point. Behind some of the numbers are "Power Ups". Power Up include: Lose points, Win points, no points. We will play the game as 1 team so at the end of the game we all will be the Winner.
