Ready to play some fun games and meet kids from all over? Well, grab a drink and some snacks, get comfy and lets play! We are here to relax, socialize, and have some fun! Each group meeting will begin with a fun ice breaker game so we can get to know a little about each other. The rest of the time will be spent playing various fun online board games, card games or trivia games. We will have a different game every week that we will focus on that is chosen by the students. Not only will learners have fun playing games with kids from all over, but they will also be able to practice socializing skills and winning and losing with grace. The class structure will be student driven and will be a relaxed and fun environment. Break down of what the first 4 weeks of class might look like: Week 1: 2/6 Trivia Kahoot (online quiz game) Learners will suggest and vote on different categories and we will play. Possible categories: sports, movies, animals, food, anime, Minecraft, Roblox, music, Disney movies and characters, history, geography and many more to chose from. Week 2: 2/13 Scattergories This is really a fun game where learners will roll a digital wheel with all letters of the alphabet. Whatever the letter is, they will be given categories and will have to come up with a word that starts with that letter for each category. For example: Letter D T.V. Show: Dancing With the Stars Fruit: Date Week 3: 2/20 Blooket This is an online game where there are various themes and students play to answer questions and get more points than the others. This can be done in many ways, such as answering questions or stealing coins from another player. Week 4: 2/27 Charades Given certain words, learners have to act this out and have there teammates try and guess what their word is. Students will ultimately decide what they want to do. We can play Kahoot, Pictionary, Blooket, Taboo, Jeopardy, online board games, Scattergories, and many other choices.
