Class Experience
US Grade 3 - 6
Do you enjoy video games? Have you ever wanted to create your own game? MIT's Scratch is a block coding program that allows you to create animations, games and more. Learn the basics of coding while creating your own players, prizes, enemies, timers, scoring and more. No background knowledge of Scratch is required. You will be guided through the creation of your account and game. The class will be broken down as: Class #1 - In the first class, we will create our Scratch accounts and learn to navigate the platform and creation mode. Class #2 - In the second class, we will code the controls of a player, enemies and rewards Class #3 - In the third class, we will add and code scoring and a timer Class #4 - During the final class, we will add some more features At the end of this class, you will have a shareable link to your game for all your family and friends to play. Each week, I will post a video tutorial for learners to follow and complete.
