Gallon Man Chart

In this one time class the students will be introduced to the gallon chart and learn about gallons, quarts, pints and cups. They will also learn how to use this chart for conversions.

Class Experience

● Students will learn how to draw the gallon chart and learn how to use it to answer capacity math problems. 
● This class will cover customary measurement equivalents involving units of capacity. 

This class will begin with an introduction.
Next, students will be introduced to gallons, quarts, pints, and cups.
Then, together we will learn how to draw the Gallon Chart.
After, we will work together to learn how to use the chart to find different ways to make a gallon.
Students will then have an opportunity to practice using the chart to answer different word problems.  
This class will include a colorful slide presentation, discussion, and interaction.  Students will have fun learning how to draw the chart and learn some tricks to help them with capacity problems.

Hi I am so excited to be teaching on out school! 
I will be teaching classes on reading comprehension, phonics, letters, math, stories with crafts, and private tutoring.
I have been an elementary school teacher for over 15 years.  I am certified K- 6 and I am ESOL endorsed.  I have worked with mainstream children as well as children with special needs.  
I have taught all subjects including reading, phonics, comprehension, math, writing, science and social studies.  
My teaching philosophy is that all children can learn in a positive and fun environment.  Every child is unique and learns in their own way.  It is my job to meet each child's needs using visual, auditory and hands on learning.  

I love spending time with my husband, daughter and 2 dogs! My favorite hobby is cooking!
