Future Paleontologists Needed: Young Dinosaur Explorers Camp Part 2
What's included
5 live meetings
2 hrs 30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
This is a shortened version of my popular Ongoing Dinosaur Experts Class! It is also Part 2 of Future Paleontologists Needed. You may take part 1 and 2 in any order. They do not build upon each other. Attention Future Paleontologists Campers: In this class, the learner will set off on a 5 day adventure, learning what it takes to be a Paleontologist. We will spend the first 5 minutes of each camp with social time: each learner will have a chance to share and tell about anything dinosaur or paleontology related. In each class, we will talk about Paleontology, and what a Paleontologist does in each class, while exploring dinosaur species with our Paleontologist friends Pete and Peggy. Campers will have a bit of time to show and tell about their favorite dinosaurs. Each day we will discuss a new dinosaur species, while discovering unique facts about each one. We will discuss each dinosaur's size, the time period they lived, where they lived, what they ate, and other unique and special characteristics that aided in their survival. Each class will be structured around a slide show. We will sing songs, have discussions, play games, and craft. Your learner will stay engaged throughout the class. Day 1: Stegosaurus Day 2: Pterosaurs Day 3: Allosaurus Day 4: Ornithopods Day 5: Armored Dinosaurs: Ankylosaurus
Learning Goals
Students will learn about 5 unique dinosaur groups, specifically unique characteristics and how they aid in survival.
