Future Dino Diggers Club
In this fun and engaging club, we will journey back through time and investigate different dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures that roamed the Earth. Learners will be engaged in reading, sharing, writing, and drawing.

Calling all future paleontologists! Are you ready to travel back in time and discover the dinosaurs that lived long ago? Then let's go! Learners will begin class with a quick ice breaker to help them get to know each other! They can bring a dinosaur toy or picture to class so that they can share their favorite dinosaur with others. We will look at pictures and learn fun facts about a different dinosaur each week. We will investigate what they looked like, what they ate, and where they lived. Learners can share what they know about the dinosaur and ask questions that we will explore together. We will use books, websites, and videos to learn more about each dinosaur. Learners will received a "Creature Feature" printable that we will use to record the results of our investigation. Learners will write and draw the dinosaur. They may want a notebook or a binder to collect their weekly findings. Learning Goals
Learners will investigate different dinosaurs that lived long ago.

Other Details
Parental Guidance
Some learners may be upset by dinosaurs eating other dinosaurs. Discussion of the food chain occurs in this class.
Supply List
Learners will need the one page handout for each week's meeting. Learners will need a pencil and art supplies such as markers, crayons, and colored pencils. Learners may want a notebook or a three ring binder to keep their weekly sheets together.

Hello! I am Kristen Galloway. I am a curious life long learner, and I want to share my love of learning with others! I am passionate about making learning fun, engaging, and relevant. I want to meet each child where they are developmentally and be a part of their journey of discovery. With a background in general education, I love to teach lessons that incorporate reading, writing, math, science, social studies. Learners should feel comfortable and welcome in the classroom. I think it is important to make learning a personal experience for each learner. I encourage each student to share their thinking. I work create a space where learners feel comfortable to learn. In order for every child to flourish they need to be seen, heard, and loved.
I believe in building relationships with my students and making learning engaging and connected to their lives. I use a multi-sensory approach to learning. I incorporate multiple domains throughout my lessons. I love to have fun in the classroom through conversations, games, and hands-on learning.
I have a Bachelor's of Science and a Master of Arts in Education. I have my TEFL and TESOL certifications. For the past 14 years, I have taught every grade from PreK-4th grade, sponsored a 3rd-5th grade STREAM club and a K-5 book club. I have also taught English online since 2019.
I have a 21 year old daughter, a 7 year old son, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and an axolotl. In my spare time, I love to read, play card and board games, hike, and watch movies. We love to travel and explore, and enjoy the journey as much as the destination!Reviews
