Future Chef's Baking Club (Yummy Sweets)

In this weekly, ongoing course, learners will develop culinary skills while learning to read recipes and create some delicious sweet treats. I like to keep class sizes small to meet the needs of neuro-typical and atypical learners.

Class Experience

Students will build and improve on kitchen skills as they create delicious sweet baked goods. This class focuses strictly on desserts and other baked sweet treats.
I am a seasoned "home cook", having been working in the kitchen with my family for over 40 years. I have been educating children professionally for 15 years. I have been teaching cooking and baking classes on the Outschool platform since March of 2020.
Week of 1/7/23 - Butterscotch Brownies Week of 1/14/23- Magic Bars Week of 1/21/23 - Pear Tart Week of 1/28/23 - Best Vanilla Cupcakes with Buttercream Frosting Week of 2/4/23 - Easy Cheese Straws Week of 2/11/23 - Chocolate Cobbler Week of 2/18/23 - Rice Crispy Treats Week of 2/25/23 - Lemon Pound Cake Week of 3/4/23 - Cheesecake Cookie Bars Week of 3/11/23 - Cherry Delight Week of 3/18/23 - Old Fashioned Apple Crisp
Learners progress will be measured by the creation of weekly sweet treats.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental guidance is recommended as learners will be using kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, knives and other items that could be considered dangerous.
Parents should note that we may be working with potential allergens such as wheat, gluten, nuts or other items that might cause allergic reactions.
