Let's practice addition, subtraction, multiplication and division while learning about money. We will learn the value of each coin, how to make change, and how to count money. Students will do this through a short craft, riddles, games and word problems. This will help students learn the valuable skill of managing their money. Learners will need to bring a writing utensil, a piece of paper, tape and one of each coin for the craft. Please bring several of each type of coin (pennies, dimes, nickels and quarters) and a few dollars to help with the activities. Students can bring play money or make their own money for the activities. I teach Science and Math classes for Outschool. I have a Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I've had experience as a Chemistry lab instructor in undergraduate university. While in graduate school, I was a Teaching Assistant for General Chemistry classes for 8 semesters. Also, I was a Chemistry camp Assistant for "Fun with Forensic Chemistry".
I have worked internationally as a teacher and am TESOL certified. In South Korea, I taught high school Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Physical Science and Geometry. I taught English and Math from K-8 in South Korea as well.Reviews
