Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I’m Ms. Amanda, and I’ve been teaching my whole life, whether it was my baby dolls or fellow classmates. I attended West Virginia University, where I graduated with a Bachelors of Music in Education, a Master of Arts in Elementary Education, and a Master of Arts in Literacy Education. Professionally, I’ve been a teacher for the past 15 years, both online and in brick and mortar schools. My experiences range from Preschool-3rd grade, but have also helped in middle school and high school classes. My specialty is as a Reading Specialist, but really enjoy teaching math as well. I started taking music lessons early in life, and the arts has always been an important part of my life, something I can turn to when life’s stresses have brought me down. I love drawing, cooking, playing music, singing, and dancing! For me, creating a connection with my students and their families is always a top priority. I do this by helping all students feel accepted and loved for who they are and appreciating their special and unique skills and talents. Besides teaching, I’m also a wife, mother, and animal lover! I’m a huge Harry Potter nerd and love watching Hallmark movies with my family. Come and join me for a fun, engaging class! Hope to see you soon!
**REFUND POLICY: I will provide a courtesy one-time refund for one absence in class, with parent notification and request. Beyond one absence, please contact Outschool as outlined in the "happiness guarantee." Thank you!
