High School Physics Made Simple – Mechanics; Part 2

Fundamentals of Physics: Motion, Forces, and Energy (Middle Grades Science)

Average rating:5.0Number of reviews:(2)
Fundamentals of Physics is a cooperative, project-based class for middle grade students, with both in-class activities and a project or challenge to complete each week outside of class.

Class experience

US Grade 6 - 7
Students will obtain a deeper understanding of the physical world. They will also gain STEM skills while creating projects, use the scientific method to carry out home-based experiments, and gain confidence and speaking skills while sharing projects with peers in a low-pressure setting.
Before I became an online teacher, I taught Physics in a public middle school for many years. This was one of my favorite classes to teach, because there are so many hands-on activities to use to teach the material.
Homework Offered
This is a project based class, so students should be prepared to work for 1-2 hours each week on their projects. Some activities are open-ended engineering projects, in which they design and create a project based on a specific physics topic. Other activities are experiments to test physics principles using the steps of the scientific method. Some parental assistance may be needed.
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Each project that is sent in to the teacher will receive informal, encouraging feedback.
