Fundamental Foundations Flex for Strings - Learn to Play Violin, Viola, or Cello (13-18)
In this 6-week flex class, we will put the FUN in FUNdamentals. Teens in this beginner-level class will practice holding their instrument correctly, produce beautiful tone, and learn to play their first song on violin, viola, and/or cello.

Description
Class Experience
Over 10 years of experience as a strings teacher (violin, fiddle, viola, and cello) and a lifetime of playing violin and fiddle.
Students will learn proper posture and bow grip for their instrument. Students will learn techniques and exercises for improving playing posture and tone on their instruments. Students will learn their first scales and songs.
Students should have a working instrument in good playing condition. Violinists and violists should have a shoulder rest or sponge. Cellists should have a rock stop. All strings players will need rosin for their bows. A pitch clip or digital tuner is helpful but not required.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
