Class Experience

This 8 session class will cover the essentials for understanding Algebra I quadratic functions.  Mathematicians will learn about prabolas from equations and graphs to transformations.  Traditional Algebra I classes spend approximately half of the school year working with quadratics, and this class will provide a solid foundation for understanding that, which will enable students to be more successful overall when working with quadratic functions. Students will be able to identify, write, transform, and use quadratic equations and functions.

Weekly handouts, colored pencils, markers, stapler, ruler, file folder, transparent paper like patty paper (hamburger patty squares local grocer will probably give you a few if you ask) or tracing paper.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
