Description

Class Experience

Because phonemic awareness skills build on each other, your learner MUST complete Part 1 before Part 2 begins.

Phonemic awareness provides learners with the building blocks necessary for early reading and spelling.  It is the ability to hear the individual sounds in words as well as the ability to manipulate these sounds to make new words.  These skills will help your young learner to build a solid foundation for early reading.

I am a licensed elementary teacher with extensive training in early literacy.

No supplies are needed.

40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

*Parent note:  This is NOT a reading class.  All skill practice is auditory (verbal).  We will NOT be reading.
