Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
To learn to play a new song on the piano. To improve your piano playing. To learn to love the piano and find out about some of the keys that will create different musical notes. Have fun! To increase your love of music. To develop a love of the piano that could help you to make residual money as a child, or earn money from playing the piano.
Your teacher, me, well, I learned how to play the piano at the age of 5 with private lessons and continue to this day at close to the age of 50! If you would want to get a really expensive piano or piano keyboard that would create little to no issues for you in order to maintain, it is recommended that you purchase an expensive one used. You can clean it out thoroughly before using it with a good alkaline type liquid soap (please, only liquid) such as Dr. Bronner's liquid soaps which I use personally from head to toes. It works on instruments and even with cleaning as well. You do need to dilute it depending on what you are using it for. I am beyond the Grade 8 level in teaching piano. I have more than 20 years of experience with the piano at the minimum.
No homework.
A piano would be helpful, but not necessary. Access to a computer, iPad, smartphone, tablet, or laptop would also help to access Outschool. You can purchase a new piano keyboard for under $200 that you can receive help with.
Informal fun assessment.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The approved third-party resource of YouTube is used for this class that does not require a parents' account, plus BrainPOP for music theory that is screen shared by Dr. Donna if there is enough time in the class.
