This camp will be exploring the science behind the science fiction of super powers. Students will be asked questions about specific super powers followed by some brain-storming discussion. The teacher will then give a lively explanation and examples of some real life examples of these super powers. Examples of fictional super heroes will also be discussed with focus on the super powers of the Incredibles. Students will be encouraged to write or draw a super hero of their own creation! Day 1...
Behind every great science fiction character and story there is a nugget of science truth.
(Optional) Create their own super hero based on science fact.
(Optional) Paper and writing utensils. (pen, pencil, colored pencils, crayons, or markers.)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
