Class Experience
Students will learn how to properly assemble the instrument, produce a sound, count simple rhythms, and play simple melodies. Scales will be introduced.
Practice outside of class is highly recommended a minimum of 3 times a week.

Informal assessment is used to measure the student’s progress. Each student will be assessed each week. Teacher will discuss progress with each student, every week. Teacher will give specific, as well as general help to improve each student’s progress.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
We will be working out of the Standard of Excellence saxophone method. Along with possible other supplemental material provided by the teacher. The book is readily available on many websites, including Amazon, as well as local music stores.
