Friendly FYI
To eliminate background noise and increase focus, students may be muted during class. Students may have the opportunity to participate individually or as a group and/or ask questions. But, I do not have the option to unmute students. It is important that students are proficient at muting and unmuting themselves, so they have the option to actively participate. If not, it is suggested that a parent sits with their student, during class, to complete this task for them.

Classroom Rules
Class participation requires a level of independence. To get the most out of this class, students are expected to:
• raise their hand and wait their turn when they have a question or comment
• not talk or interrupt when others are talking
• share only on-topic comments or questions
• be respectful to the teacher and other students
• remain on task and try their best

If a student is having ongoing behavioral difficulties and/or is continuously disruptive, the student may:
• remain muted for the remainder of the class
• be removed from the class
• be removed from the entire course
If one of the above consequences occurs, I will contact the student’s parent within 24 business hours.

Safety
Safety is a top concern and Outschool has your back. Per Outschool’s safety policy, all students must turn on their audio and video at the beginning of class to verify their identity. No exceptions. If you have questions or need further clarification, please contact Outschool Support.

Class Payment
Outschool generates class payments every Sunday. If you need to cancel a class subscription, it is suggested you do so before Sunday morning.

Refunds
Unfortunately, missed classes are not refunded, including late enrollments. For additional information, please see Outschool’s Happiness Guarantee refund policy.

When my son toppled over giggling after I used his foot to point to his ABCs, that’s when it clicked, "if a student can’t learn the way we teach, then we should teach the way they learn", Ignacio Estrada.

Kids are naturally one of the fastest learners because play is our brain’s favorite way of learning. Mother nature got it right! So, why mess with perfection.

Hi. I’m Teacher Chadwick and I’m a Specialist in Education, Educational Diagnostician, and Certified Teacher. I’ve worked 25+ years in education helping students, ages 3-21, achieve their academic best. I have extensive experience working with all learning types; from students who qualified for gifted & talented services to students who qualified for special education services. But one thing remains constant - all students thrive when learning is engaging, encouraging, and stress-free.

That’s why I’ve designed my reading programs to highlight all the ways kids are smart. For maximum learning and retention, I use results-oriented & research-based reading strategies, coupled with multiple opportunities for students to see it, hear it, and do it. This results in independent readers, who know how to properly decode words, can read fluently, and understand the text.

My writing program is designed to help students communicate in writing clearly, concisely, and cohesively. My goal is to help students become better writers and show the best of who they are, in every sentence.
