Fun With Music: Piano Group Classes for Beginners

This class is designed as an introduction to music with a focus on piano. Young learners are expected to have little to no experience in music for this class. Each week, earlier concepts and skills are constantly reviewed. There will be games to play that helps the learners practice their new learned skills without putting a burden on them.

*For this class, it would be great if you have a keyboard or a piano at home. If you don't you can download an app on your tablet for your child to use during class. Please be sure to have 2 devices for them during class, one for the Zoom meeting and another for the app to run on.

Week 1 - Introduction to instruments (we will make our own instruments)
Week 2 - Learning to count and understanding note values
Week 3 - Introduction to keyboard and the C scale
Week 4 - Learning the notes in the C scale
Week 5 - Finger exercises (left hand and right hand)
Week 6 - Learning dynamics
Week 7 - Learn a song: Twinkle Twinkle. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
Week 8 - Learn a song: Happy Birthday
