In this fun interactive lesson students are going to work with a type of grid puzzle called KenKen puzzles. While working with puzzles is very fun, they are also a great way to practice our math skills such as logic, problem solving, addition and subtraction. Students will first learn how to do the puzzles and then work together as a class to solve a few puzzles and finally work on their own puzzle. This class will be taught in a fun interactive group discussion setting giving students opportunity to have lots of fun while they practice their math and logic skills along with their peers. Students should have min. basic knowledge/skills of addition and subtraction through grade 2.

Students will be able to apply logic and their knowledge of addition and subtraction to solve KenKen grid puzzles.

Hello! I’m Teacher Sheila.
I’ve been teaching both children and adults for over 20 years.
I have a Bachelors Degree in education, I’m TESOL certified and I’m homeschool certified as well.
I am currently teaching English online to children in China. I also offer classes in Common Core subjects Online in the US as well.
I have home schooled all five of my children, 4 have graduated 12th grade and I’m currently working with my last kid who will be starting High School this year.
I am so very passionate about teaching that I even spend much of my free time in volunteer work teaching others. My goal is to instill in my students a lifelong love of learning.
