Class Experience

Figurative language can be difficult to understand because it is not literal.  By understanding figurative language, we become better writers and speakers and help create a more vivid picture for the reader or listener.
In this one-time class, students will be introduced to three types of figurative language- similes, metaphors and personification.  Through slides and a short video, students be be able to define these three devices and will have the opportunity to create and share their own...

No extra materials are required

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
