This is a fun intro class to the cool process of needle felting also known as wool painting. This is a dry felting process using a barbed needle and wool roving to create a felted unicorn. Suggested age is 10 and up due to the sharp barbed needle required. The dry felting process of needle felting is achieved by continuously poking and stabbing the pure wool roving which causes the fibers to interlock and felt. In the 1st class we will start off making a little unicorn skeleton using the fuzzy sticks. We will then use the wool and a needle to start creating his body. In the 2nd class we will work on his legs and tail and start on his head. In the last class we will finish his head add a horn and tweak everything. I will work each step of making the unicorn with the class.
