Welcome! In this class, students will read along with Teacher Katey as they jump into the fantastic world of Caillou! This ESL friendly course focuses on reading, educational activities, and games. It's a perfect opportunity to practice conversational English with peers, and most importantly... have FUN! This class is intended for students 4-8 years of age. Below is the class outline: Theme: Welcome to the Jungle! Welcome Introductions Word of the Day Let's Read! (Book Title: Caillou The Jungle Explorer, Written by: Sarah Margaret Johanson) Share: (Children will share their favorite jungle animal (props can be pictures, books, toys, etc.) ) Educational Activity: Memory Matching Game: Crocodile Snap Farewell

Teacher expertise and credentials
Ms. Katey is 29 years old and lives in the beautiful Northwestern United States. She graduated from Boise State University with her BA in December of 2017 and hopes to obtain her master’s degree in Family Counseling within the next few years. Ms. Katey is a mom to a beautiful 3-year-old little girl, and a 10-year-old labradoodle named Lexy.
For the past 10 years she’s taught in private centers, public schools, and virtually. Ms. Katey has experience with children ranging from 0-18 years of age. For the last three years she has been teaching one-on-one, fully immersive English language lessons (aligned with U.S. Common Core State Standards) in a virtual classroom setting to children around the world!
Ms. Katey is also TESOL and TEFL certified, and strongly believes the knowledge she’s gained from taking these courses helps tremendously in amplifying your child’s classroom experience. Ms. Katey knows that all children learn in a variety of different ways. While she uses many teaching techniques (Natural, Skills, Humor, Emotional, Rational, etc.) practicing basic, every day conversational English is extremely important and a top priority in her classroom. Ms. Katey’s classes are engaging, and most importantly FUN!
When Ms. Katey is not teaching, she enjoys traveling, as well as spending quality time with her family and friends. She looks forward to meeting you and your family soon!Reviews
