Fun Water Science - Building an Ice Skating Rink
In this one-time class, learners will learn about the chemistry of water as well as think about how to build a backyard skating rink. Learners are encouraged to think of improvements to the rink and troubleshoot issues that occurred.

What is water made of? This class will cover some basic chemistry about water, including that it expands when it freezes and that it is polar. Even the electrons will be thought about to realize why water consists of 2 oxygen atoms and one hydrogen atom. After a brief discussion on water, we'll have some fun looking at the trials and errors of building a backyard ice skating rink.
