During this time, I will guide you through preparing a treat or dish your family will enjoy. Your kids will feel proud and important when they help prepare food! Cooking is also fun—because kids are natural kitchen helpers. Healthy options are also noted during the video for those that may want to sub certain ingredients. Basic ingredients will be needed to complete the recipes. Kitchen tasks give your child a chance to measure, count and see food change. That is early math and science learning. Your child can learn new words and symbols while cooking with you. Talk about the food and what you’re doing. Read words on food containers together. Small muscle skills develop, too, when your child uses his or her hands to help with kitchen tasks. And cleanup teaches responsibility. Cooking is one of the many creative, messy things we do, and doing it as a family makes it even more fun!
Learning Goals
Each week we will create a tasty treat. This class is totally child friendly and adults are encouraged to assist or join in with their child. Partnering up with your child will allow for wonderful bonding time in the kitchen making something tasty you will enjoy. Cooking is a wonderful to way to express yourself. I hope this class will help foster a love of putting something together in the kitchen.

Parental Guidance
Adult supervision is encouraged and recommended. While not all recipes will not require the use of heated tools such as a stove or oven, safety is important.
Supply List
Once you sign up for the class, an ingredients and supply list will be provided with all items that you will need for that class. The list will come out at least a day in advance so you can check for your items.
